Bio diversity
The variety of plants and animals and other living things in a particular area or region. Biodiversity is important because plant and animal species interact and depend upon one another for food, shelter, oxygen, and soil enrichment.

Ecological systems (ecosystems)
An ecosystem is a self-sustaining association of plants, animals, and the physical environment in which they live. They are interdependent and are influenced by similar dynamic ecological processes, such as fire or flooding. All elements within the systems hold a strong relational connection with eachother

Holism
The idea that all life is connected and interdependent; that nothing can be fully understood unless one sees the whole system of which it is a part; that a whole is always more than the sum of its parts.
