We can all agree that this is a good idea, yet the question remains 'How do we achieve its realisation?'
The people best suited to answer this are those most invested in its outcome. The youth of today are our future leaders, it is essential they be empowered and equipped for future challenges.
Lets Take Care of Aotearoa-NZ, Brazil, the Planet
Over the past five years or so there has been an amazing role out of an environmental education programme in Brazil called 'Lets Take Care of Brazil'. This is a brief outline of the Lets Take Care Programme and New Zealand's connection to it.

A Science Technology and Society conference brought an opportunity to activate new contacts for the Across Oceania network by preparing a presentation for the conference and visiting an 'ecotechnology' scientist, Callum Coats with whom we have been associated for many years. Callum is experimenting with using energy enhancing technologies, such as spirals inserted into water pipes, to test the beneficial effects for plant growth.

Summary
A visit to Vanuatu was hosted by a Ni Vanuatu women known to us though her studies at a university in new Zealand. We found that women are bearing large burdens of extended family responsibilities - and that in urban areas there are added pressures of financial responsibility upon women who have jobs.
