The research is a collaboration of the NZ Māori Council, Linda Te Aho (Te Piringa, Waikato University) and Betsan Martin, Assoc. Research Fellow , VUW and Response Trust. It is funded by the NZ Law Foundation, for the time period of Nov 2019-Dec 2020.
A Waterways Te Mana o Te Wai Commission
The research is to contribute to law and governance for Te Mana o Te Wai , Waterways, with the focus on a Commission, and identify a statutory framework for waterways that encompasses Te Tiriti o Waitangi with Te Tino Rangatiratanga law.
